Contest and Giveaway Results: WINNERS! – Butterfly Princess Coloring Contest

Alright, the moment you have all been waiting for! The winners of my first yampuff.com contest and giveaway! Thanks to everyone who entered or shared encouraging messages here or on Facebook! I’m really happy with the outcome of the contest and I hope to do more in the future. I do have a new idea for structuring contests, which I’ll ask you about towards the end of this post.

SO, without further ado – the winners!

First Place, Traditional Media

What I love about this piece: the detail on all the buetterflies, the shading on the clothes, the highlights in the hair and, most of all, the sparkles!!!

Second Place, Traditional Media

What I love about this one: I couldn’t get it out of my head! It looks like only a few colors were used but they were blended together in such a way that it gave the dress depth. It’s unusual and creative!

Special Mentions, Traditional Media

These were all beautiful, with gorgeous color choices and they sure made it hard for me to narrow down the winners!

And now for the digital media winners!

First Place, Digital Media

CaptainMetal is no stranger to my contests! What I loved about this one: The color scheme and glowing butterflies! Looks breathtaking!

Second Place, Digital Media

The detail in the hair is lovely and so is the shading on the dress! And you just can’t go wrong with a classic pink/ blond hair combo!

Giveaway Winners!

  1. Faith

2. Beatrice

3. ilovepinkhair

I’ll be sending out emails to everyone who won a prize – congratulations!!! This was not easy to judge at all, I spent a long time deliberating and consulting with my friends on who to choose.

As I mentioned in the beginning up there, I did get a good idea from a coloring group on Facebook: what do you all think of a coloring contest that’s more like a raffle; you color in a lineart to enter but the winner is chosen randomly. That way everyone with all skill levels have a chance of winning and it’s stress free – for me as a judge and for you all as colorists? Let me know in the comments below what you think & I’ll keep it in mind for the next contest!
