November Coloring Contest!

November Contest
Get your coloring face on!

The Rules:

  • Download and color in one or both of the coloring pages below. These illustrations are free sample coloring pages from my new Magic Bottle and Galaxy Dreams packs on Etsy!

To get the full-size image, simply click the above thumbnail then right click and Save!

  • You may color in the image traditionally or digitally, or using a mix of both techniques, be creative!
  • You may submit 1 version of each lineart (for a maximum of 2 entries per person). To clarify, you may color and submit 2 entries total but only if you colored both linearts. You can also color in just 1 of them.
  • Contest entries should be sent to contest@yampuff.com
  • Try to keep the filesize under 5mb and no more than 2000 px width
  • Deadline is November 30th, 2018

Prizes:

  • There will be 2 prizes for the contest; one 1st place prize for each lineart
  • Both 1st Prize winners will receive a FREE CUSTOM LINEART COMMISSION from myself
  • This is where things get a little tricky. Unlike past contests, the winner will be selected randomly. I want this contest to be stress-free and open for anyone to win, no matter their skill level!
  • Now, this does not mean that you shouldn’t put effort into the coloring because there’s no judging. I will disqualify entries that were CLEARLY done in 5 seconds as a means to try and win a prize. Examples of something I might disqualify: coloring the entire picture using only one 1 color, or very incomplete coloring (coloring only the hair for example). I don’t expect for this to happen but I figured I would mentioned just in case. DO NOT WORRY if you are using just MS Paint and the fill tool, you are welcome to join! I can see the effort you put in even if the tools are basic. I just won’t accept spam entries.
  • On the other hand, entries that display a high level of skill or effort, an amazing color palette, a unique concept, an original coloring technique, that sort of thing, will count as 2 entries in the random selection. Therefore, the more effort you put it, the higher chance you have of winning a prize. I hope this will level the playing field a little.
  • Basically, if you have an incredible coloring done to perfection in Photoshop, you’ll get a +1, if you color the picture in MS Paint with a unique and interesting color palette, you will also get a +1.
  • Even if you submit entries for both linearts, you will not be able to will 2 prizes, there is a maximum of 1 win per person.

Giveaway!

I am also giving away $10 to spend on my Etsy to 2 lucky people! Simply comment below and tell us what’s your favorite way to color! Artist markers? Colored pencils? Photoshop? Paint Tool SAI? Let us know! One entry per person. I’ll be contacting you through the email you enter in order to make the post, so make sure it is a valid and working one. Two winners will be selected through a lucky draw November 30th!

Good luck to all and feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Happy coloring!

Hey! I absolutely love using alcohol markers to color in any lineart or drawing. The colors always come out vivid and well-blended. My favorite brand is actually Prismacolor. They’re much more affordable and work well with any traditional drawing I’m working on. For me, drawing and coloring makes me feel alive, like there is meaning in what I’m doing. I don’t often get to feel such a way, but when I do, it’s like life has shown me I matter.

I love color with Promarker markers, Copic markers and sometimes with watercolor pencils. I draw with them mainly cartoon characters 🙂

  • I love copic markers but use just about everything. I can’t wait to color the image(s). This is the first time seeing this challenge. I’m off to create a true piece of art…. your drawings are amazing!!!!! Thank you

  • Zeke

I dont typically colour much but I do most of my sketches and linearts via Paint Tool Sai! Doing the colouring contests will bring me out of my comfort zone in hopes of improving techniques!

  • E Patti

I prefer using colored pencils with accents from gel pens. I’m on a budget so Crayola is my favorite to try to achieve the look of Prismacolor pencils.

  • Cyndi

I actually color via my phone! So I love using an app called ibisPaint X. But when I’m not coloring on my phone I use colored pencils, whichever ones I can get my hands on!

  • Brittany

My favorite way to paint is watercolor, but I hate when the paper gets all wobbly on normal paper, so for coloring pages I normally use colored pencils or crayons.

  • Elena

Hi, I love to colour digitally with Clip Studio Paint. What I really like about this program is that you can imitate traditional media like watercolours or oils very believably 🙂

  • MARIA

Hi, my favourite way to colour is with pencils and markers. But I also use digital hand colouring with Photoshop online.
    Thanks for the chance.

I prefer my Pro Markers when colouring!
I’ve been practicing them the most and there for I get the best result in shortest time.

  • Lindsey Rogers

I love your line arts! You are one of my favorite coloring book artists and I am eager to participate in this contest. My favorite medium is Prismacolor markers.

  • Valerie

I love to color both traditionally, with my Prismacolor pencils, and digitally, using Paint.net and MediBang Paint Pro together, since I get different effects from them both! And I always love to color your lines, this sounds like a great contest! Thanks!

  • Theresa

I’m new to the world of colouring. So far I prefer alcohol markers. I’ve just purchased some watercolour brush pens to try, hoping they won’t bleed through so much

  • Nati / Mostlinchen

Yeah – thx for the chance! I love to color with colored pencils, but actually often with markers and watercolor also. I live your lineart!!! Thx

  • Veve

This looks interesting, I love the first lineart!
For colouring, I hardly ever use anything else apart from GIMP. When doing something traditional, I like to use my old colour pencils 🙂

  • Suzzanne Axten

My favourite way to colour my pictures is using coloured pencils mainly but i am trying to use different mediums like water paint, pastels and alcohol markers as a base

  • Tabitha

My favorite coloring tools are posca markers, Faber castle Pitt artist pens, gel pens and prisma pencil crayons. I tend to use gel pens the most because my hands tend to hurt

  • Rachel H.

My favorite way to color is using Medibang Paint because of all the options and infinite colors! If my iPad is dead, I love colored pencils and markers. Thank you so much for the opportunity!
